Biographical Summary
Murabayashi is Executive Officer and Co-General Manager of Operations & Systems Planning for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., the largest bank in Japan, which was established in 2006 with the merger of the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd. and UFJ Bank Ltd. The bank serves as the core retail and commercial banking arm of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, of which Murabayashi also is an Executive Officer. In addition, he serves as President of UFJ & Hitachi Systems Co. Ltd. Murabayashi effectively functions as the bank's top IT executive, making sure systems and procedures help the bank achieve its overall goals and objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. He came to Bank of Tokyo in 2006 following the merger; he previously had been with UFJ Bank Ltd., most recently serving as General Manager fo the Computer Planning System department.
