Biographical Summary

Spectra Energy Corp, through its subsidiaries and equity affiliates, owns and operates a portfolio of complementary natural gas-related energy assets and is a natural gas infrastructure company. Texas native Dorothy Ables is chief administrative officer of the Company, responsible for its information technology, audit services, human resources, support services and community relations functions. She has been with Spectra since 1985 and has assumed various executive positions of increasing authority culminating in her current appointment in 2008. Active in her community she serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Houston and is a former co-chair of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. She has been the recipient of several awards and accolades recognizing her as one of the more influential women in the business community.
