Biographical Summary

Tom Weidenkopf joined Aleris International Inc., a global aluminum products maker and recycler, in November 2008 as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Communications. He came to Aleris with an enviable pedigree, beginning with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. After college Weidenkopf spent a dozen years in senior HR positions at PepsiCo Inc. He subsequently spent a year at General Electric Company before beginning a decade-long run at Honeywell International, again in senior HR roles. He ultimately rose to Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Communications, and was responsible for leading global human resources strategy and programs for the company's 120,000 employees in more than 100 countries.
