SVP and CIO, Boston Scientific Corporation
Biographical Summary
Adduci is interested in business transformation. When he joined Boston Scientific in 2006, he found an IT department bloated with layers of management, and generally dysfunctional. Over the next few years he thinned the ranks and changed the organizational structure, turning the department into a global organization focused on delivering competitive advantage for the company through information and technology. In addition to his CIO responsibilities, Adduci also is a member of Boston Scientific's Operating Committee, Quality Management Board, and Capital Committee. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Adduci honed his skills at the consulting firm Accenture, where for 18 years he led its Health and Life Science practice - and enjoyed stints as CIO for three of his clients. While at Accenture, Adduci not only earned his MBA from the University of Chicago, but also was a named inventor on a number of U.S. and international patent applications. Adduci also is engaged in helping shape the future of the information technology, and participates through membership in the SAP Life Sciences Advisory Committee, Model N Strategic Planning Team, and the Babson CIMS Advisory Board.
