Biographical Summary
Reportedly well-connected to high-ranking democrats from Hilary Clinton to Vice President Joe Biden, Acheson was named General Counsel for Amtrak as part of a legal department restructuring in 2006. Previously Acheson worked in the Clinton Justice Department, where she was assistant attorney general in charge of the Office of Policy Development. Acheson currently oversees Amtrak's Law department, which consists of 32 lawyers, 40 claims management professionals, and some support staff who handle law and employment-related issues for the company.
