Biographical Summary
Morris has been with MetLife her entire career. She started as an administrator in the company's National Accounts organization in 1984 and worked her way through various parts of the company including dental, disability and employee benefits before being named to her current position in 2011. Morris is executive vice president and head of MetLife's Global Employee Benefits business unit, the first global business unit established by the company. Morris has also been responsible for integrating MetLife's $16.4 billion acquisition of American Life Insurance Company (Alico), acquired from AIG in 2010; as of 2012 the integration was still ongoing. Prior to assuming her current position, Morris oversaw MetLife's information technology group, the customer sales and service group, global capability sourcing, internal audit and corporate real estate and services.
