Biographical Summary
Niblock, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lowe's Companies Inc. since January 2005, took back operational control of the nation's No. 2 home improvement retail chain in January 2011 when he reassumed the title of President. He put together a new management team to help lead the Mooresville, North Carolina-based company through its planned transformation into a multi-platform provider of home improvement goods and services. Niblock joined Lowe's in 1993 as Director of Taxation and during his career with the company has served as Vice President and Treasurer, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Lowe's, Niblock spent nine years with accounting firm Ernst & Young. He also is past Chairman and a member of the board of directors of the Retail Industry Leaders Association, after having served as Chairman in 2008 and 2009. Niblock has been driving an overhaul of Lowe's mission in 2011, which he describes as "our transformation from a home improvement retailer to a home improvement company."
