Biographical Summary
Niblock has been CEO of Lowe's since 2004 and took an unusual path to get there. He began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young and spent nine years with the firm before joining Lowe's as director of taxation in 1993. He worked his way up to be senior VP of finance in 1999 and quickly ascended to president in 2003 and CEO in 2004. Niblock is now leading the nation's second-largest home improvement retailer through a two-year slowdown in sales it hopes will rebound in 2009.
