Executive Profiles
Biographical Summary
Although his bio says he joined Northrop Grumman in 1987, Bush actually worked for TRW in various engineering and executive positions until Northrop Grumman acquired the company in 2002. After the acquisition, Bush held a series of executive roles at Northrop Grumman, including CFO, COO and president of the company's Space Technology sector. He took over the CEO chair from Ron Sugar in January 2010. Described as "baby faced," "decisive" and "tough as nails," Bush is expected to focus on righting the No. 3 Pentagon contractor's ship-making operations and expand into new businesses such as intelligence and reconnaissance, unmanned systems, and cyberwarfare as growth in U.S. defense spending slows.
