Former EVP and CFO, Qualcomm Inc.
Bill Keitel joined Qualcomm in 1996, and worked in senior management roles within corporate finance, serving as the SVP and Corporate Controller prior to being named the Chief Financial Officer in 2002. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of Qualcomm Ventures. Qualcomm is benefiting from the worldwide interest in the wireless chips it designs and manufactures for smart phones and wireless tablets that run on high-speed data networks. In his years at Qualcomm, Keitel has developed tight financial controls and a solid accounting base, as well as a financial forecast process that has impressed the investment community with its accuracy. He also focuses on employee development company-wide and offers executive support and guidance to Qualcomm's charitable giving programs. Keitel retired in March 2013 but is serving as a special adviser to Qualcomm's CEO for the remainder of 2013.
