Biographical Summary
The grandson of company founder Estee Lauder has worked for the family business since 1986. He headed its Clinique division for 13 years and green-lighted the launch of many popular products, including its Origins skin care line in 1990. He was appointed CEO of Estee Lauder in 2004 and now oversees 28 different brands of skin care products and cosmetics. In late 2008, he announced a restructuring plan that eliminated 2,000 jobs; in 2009 he stepped down from the CEO position but remains Executive Chairman.
