Biographical Summary
Known for introducing family-friendly and health-conscious marketing at her longtime employer Quaker Foods, Dillon championed a series of programs designed to show moms the healthier side of McDonald's, from fresh fruit in Happy Meals to tours of processing plants that make the restaurant giant's menu staples. Dillon also shifted more of the company's marketing mix to digital media. Dillon took over as the as president and chief executive of U.S. Cellular Corp., effective June 1, 2010. The telecom business is new to Dillon, but U.S. Cellular may have been attracted by her ability to build strong consumer brands. She hit the ground running in that respect, launching a compelling new loyalty program within her first year on the job that has helped the company minimize customer churn.
