Biographical Summary
A fourth-generation grocer whose great-grandfather was a Presbyterian pastor, Dillon is now in charge of a "family business" that just happens to be the largest supermarket chain in the United States. Dillon joined Kroger in 1986 and took the helm as CEO in 2003 after serving in a variety of positions including president and COO. Under the guidance of the Kansas native, Kroger has generated record sales on the strength of innovative store formats and low pricing that consistently undercuts competitors.
