President and CEO, NetSuite Inc.
Biographical Summary
Ex-Oracle marketing chief Nelson has been riding high the last 10 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of NetSuite Inc., a leading vendor of cloud-based business management software for mid-market enterprises and divisions of large companies. NetSuite, which Oracle founder Larry Ellison helped launch, went public in 2007 under Nelson's watch and made the Stanford-educated software executive a star in the tech industry. Nelson was named one of the 10 Visionary CEOs of 2008 by InternetNews.com and was named CRM Influential Leader of 2006 by CRM Magazine. Just before he joined NetSuite in 2002, Nelson spent four years at Network Associates, a provider of computer network security and management software, where he helped roll out both MyCIO.com and McAfee.com (the first Cloud IPO, back in 2000). Prior to joining Network Associates, Nelson spent two years at Oracle, as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
