John P. Nallen
SVP and CFO, 21st Century Fox
Nallon in July 2013 became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of 21st Century Fox, the new company formed by the June 2013 split of News Corporation into two separate companies, one for publishing and the other for entertainment. 21st Century Fox is by far the richer of the two, consisting of New Corporation's media and entertainment businesses, including the 20th Century Fox movie and television production studios and the firm's lucrative TV networks, including Fox, FX, Fox News Channel and regional sports networks. Nallon began his career in 1979 at Arthur Andersen and then joined New Corporation in 1995, where over the next six years he held various positions of increasing responsibility before being elevated to Executive Vice President and Deputy CFO in 2001. He was responsible for capital market and merger and acquisition transactions and oversaw various functional areas, including corporate finance, tax, corporate IT, internal audit and planning and analysis. Nallen has played important roles in transactions, including the purchase of an interest in DirecTV, the sale of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, and the IPOs of Fox Entertainment Group and News Digital Systems.
